A rant:
A local model posted a casting call on MM. In it, she mentioned that she was looking to shoot sets for Z. I let her know that I was also on Z and would love to shoot with her. As we began discussing ideas, she dropped the "I only shoot these types of sets if I am being paid."
Do people totally miss the fact that sites like Z and DX are a revenue opportunity for both the model and photographer to earn income? Why would either side expect to be paid, and then earn revenue from it also?

in your model release you stipulate that she has been paid in full and is not entitled to any further compensation, and in your paperwork with the site you share the release and that you get 100% of the income.

I've come across the same thing... From experience it's simply because some see it, instead of being passionate about the art or possible future income, all they see is dollar signs in the form of immediate gratification instead of the possibility of making possibly more over time. And sometimes models have bills to pay right away. Which is no different from any photographer either but sometimes you cannot wait the till Z pays quarterly or DX pays when you have reached the amount they require for payout.
