I have a question. why are there so many models/members that are not active. "This user is not currently active on our social network, but please enjoy their content below! " just wondering. Wish there were some in UT.

If a photographer adds a set, the model will appear not active and the same is true if the model uploads the photos

so does that mean when I upload a set that I will appear inactive. doesn't make sense to me.

no, the model you upload will until they too sign up

If I shoot a model and she is okay with content being posted, but does not want to personally be a part of the site in general, she would be added by me at the time of uploading the set. If she later decides she wants to be part of the site she can then become an active member. But just cuz I shoot a model doesn't mean she wants to take part in the siteā¦ Therefore inactive member

I see. What if I just want to upload a set from a very old shoot? Do I have to say who the model is?

Yes, you will need to submit a photo ID to verify age, but you can use the models "modeling name" unless the model has already been verified on this site. Try looking up the talent here and see if the model is already listed.

If she is not listed, when uploading the set and adding the talent you can't "create" a talent account where you can upload the photo ID and give her a stage name. That's all that needs to be done

My photo ID or hers? I could make SET's from any of the models in my port?

The models ID. You can make sets for any of the ones in your port so long as you have an ID

Must be the models ID to verify their age, and any model you have a signed release and permission can be added who is 18 or older.

So I can't Upload a set of just any model I have even though I have a signed release?

No. Needs photo ID, no matter what.

I have a few sets of models that have no ID. Chiva has removed a couple of images though.

Ok, let me clarify... I have sets with models from before I knew to get ID. Many of them have disconnected from modeling and I have no way of getting in touch with them. A couple have passed away. I discussed this with Chiva before submitting sets of their images so that I had an understanding of what would be acceptable without having an ID. Even then I had a few images that in my opinion were not sexual in nature that DX removed before publishing the set. Even though one model is obviously past her early 30s (I think she's mid 40s), DX removed at least one image because I didn't have the model's ID. One model I have looks very young, so it's likely that her sets will not get published here. I have other sets that have ID, but some of the poses are such that DX will not publish without the 2257 paperwork. Don't fault DX for holding to standards that are in the best interest of the owners of the site and their desire to stay out of jail.

Lesson from this... discuss it with DX. I hope Chiva doesn't get annoyed that I've potentially opened a floodgate of "I don't have ID, but would you publish these images" requests. We had a very lengthy discussion before I even tried to submit the first set without an ID.

You guys have covered the subject quite well. I'll just clarify that in order to get a set approved *without* talent ID, the work must not be explicit or sexual - nor the model looking very young. As mentioned, Chiva will be glad to review sets you are unsure of, and can remove any images that we can't publish with your permission.
